Chocolate Ties

While the picture below is fairly direct -chocolate being the obvious focus- there's a timely link between sweet treats, art and museum that's just too good not to address.

Pictured here (in the NYT) is Alison Nelson, who opened the Chocolate Bar in Greenwich Village five years ago and has just added another location in the Henri Bendel store on Fifth Avenue. (Nice!) Decorative truffles and bon bons, Artist Bars and new Graffiti Bars are just a few highlights in this creative chocolate collection.

Now notice the graphics on the wall behind Alison. These decals are the product of Blik, LLC currently featured in Design Life Now: National Design Triennial 2006 at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum (closes July 29, 2007). A company founded by food editor Jerinne Neils and architect Scott Flora, Blik surface graphics are essentially "oversized...stickers for grownups that allow anyone to quickly & easily create custom wallscapes in no time. The decals are self-adhesive & removable."

Chocolate & Blik. I just happen to be a fan of both!
