Ingredients
Topping:
1 1/2 cups fresh figs, sliced
3 ounces Gruyère (also called Gruyère de Comté), coarsely grated
1 large onion, sliced and caramelized
1/2 cup pine nuts, toasted
Dough:
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal or polenta
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons olive oil
Go to Recipe Pizza for dough instructions. Layer the cheese, onions, pine nuts and figs on top of the pizza dough (in that order). Bake until crust is golden brown.
