If you read my article "Not Just Desserts," you already know about the arty cakes of pastry chef Victoria Yee Howe, founder of Chinatown Cake Club. If you're in New York City this weekend, you're in for a few treats courtesy of Howe and curator Sierra Stinson.
Howe and Stinson have teamed up to present Show and Tell, a 48-hour mobile pop-up gallery and reading room offering, among other things, complimentary cake. The Show and Tell truck will park at random locations on Saturday and Sunday, August 13 and August 14, from noon until 7pm. Keep up with their whereabouts via Twitter.
